You’re 100% correct and we agree there is a very serious problem in the system of governance. The point I don’t entirely agree with is that it will continue to fester. In my opinion a catalyst will change it.

The most appropriate catalyst is a significant change in the direction the government takes, but we both know that is unlikely, given that most representative of the government are incentivised to continue the status quo. The alternative is literally a civil war. There isn’t much in between.

What I’m predicting in this article, is that the catalyst might be the Kenosha trial. half of the US thinks he’s innocent and this is a show trial, the other half think he’s guilty and needs severe punishment leading to systemic changes in constitutional rights.

I have no idea how it will work out, but the only thing I can say, for perhaps the first time with any confidence, China is not to blame.

Homelessness, guns, incaceration, unemployment, poverty wages, income inequality, health crisis, civil disorder, these are all symptomatic of a failing state, not outside influence. People in the USA are starting to wake up and, unless there’s significant change in governance, it will lead to anarchy and chaos. Deflection won’t work because the only level of deflection is an international war; we all know where that will lead!
