Absolutely true, the rate of murders in China is 0.6 per 100,000 people, the rate in the USA is 5.25 per 100,000. China has more than 4 times as many people. There are statistics available if you care to look, I compared China with Baltimore to make that statement and Baltimore has more morders, not more per capita, it has more murders than China. Rapes are much more difficult because there's still some stigma to reporting rapes in each country but I suspect China's rapes are a lot higher than reported. So I prefer to stick with something we know, it's hard to hide murders!
